That's because the finished size of these garments depends entirely on yarn weight and needle size.  Create a soft and warm layette for baby in your choice of preemie, newborn, or 3 to 6 month sizes.  Both layettes, the Leaf Pattern Set and the Lace Pattern Set, include a sweater (cardigan), beanie, bonnet and blanket.

Projects pictured were made using various weights of yarn.  Any brand of the specified weight of yarn may be used. Refer to the yardage/metres for your desired yarn when determining how many balls or skeins to purchase.  Length per ball is stated next to each yarn for sale on The Yarn Queen website.  Remember, to arrive at the finished size, it is the gauge/tension that is important, not the brand.  It is important to always knit a tension square first to check your tension matches that given for the pattern.  You may need to use a different size knitting needle in order to achieve correct tension.
