Providing beanies for newborn babies in New Zealand since 2007
Our aim is to gift new knitted beanies and bootees for newborn babies in New Zealand - keeping little heads and feet warm, and assisting in a healthy beginning to life.

A letter of thanks received from a new mother:
"I have just given birth to my first child at Ata Rangi in Hawke's Bay Hospital. I had to have an emergency caesarian due to wee Bryn's heart rate dropping dangerously during labour, so had a much longer stay in hospital than I was expecting. I was delighted to receive the gift of a lovely hand-knitted beanie from Beanies for Babies just before we left to go home. It really brightened my day and will be well worn by my darling boy. Thank you so much for your heartwarming work and making a difference in newborn babies (and their Mums) lives." - Anita Murrell, Havelock North (published with permission)

From February 2009, Erica Lineham with the support of The Yarn Queen Ltd is proud to carry on the work of BEANIES FOR BABIES. Erica acts in a voluntary capacity - collecting, sorting, labelling, and distributing donated hand knitted babies' clothing to birthing units, maternity hospitals, midwifery groups, and Special Care Baby Units in New Zealand.
